Syntal Capital Partners is proud to announce that our firm has been verified in our compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standard (GIPS®). The GIPS® Standards were created by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute as a way to create a global standard for calculating and presenting performance. These standards were created to give investors confidence that a manager’s performance is complete and fairly presented.

To ensure fair representation and full disclosure of a firm’s performance, they must comply with several standards:

  • Firms must include all discretionary, fee-paying accounts in a composite that is defined by investment mandate, objective, or strategy to prevent a firm from “cherry-picking” the performance that is advertised.
  • Firms must maintain the integrity of their input data by adhering to GIPS® Standards of calculation methods and using clear disclosures along with the firm’s performance.
  • Firms are required to perform periodic internal performance checks, implement internal controls for all stages of the process, and are encouraged to use a third-party verifier to provide additional assurance.

Syntal Capital Partners places a high importance on our firm’s performance and we are excited to have our claim of compliance with the GIPS® Standards verified by an independent third party. For more information or if you have any questions about the GIPS® Standards or processes, please contact Barry Brauchi via info@syntal.com.
